A short walk through Aldridge today and couldn’t help but notice that after what has so far been an exceptionally mild winter, signs of spring or perhaps signs that growth never really stopped, are everywhere.

Nettles are flowering and there is strong growth in the buttercup foliage and the chickweed never seems to have died at all. Catkins are everywhere. The fungus from Autumn is still showing strongly.

We may be having howling gales and lots of rain but it is incredibly mild.
