June24th – Franchise Street, Darlaston. On an otherwise decaying, unremarkable house, a silver dragon fineal tops the gable.
I have no idea. The house was hard to photograph, as the neighbours were about.
Is this culturally significant somewhere do we know?
June 11th – I was riding through Brownhills. He was singing his little heart out on a rooftop, seemingly just for me.
If you’ve got a song to sing, sing out!
December 2nd – High above Town Wharf in Walsall, a curiosity.
On the flat roof of one of the new apartment blocks, a plastic goat. I’d heard it talked about by Dan Slee a couple of years ago, but never got around to looking for it until I saw someone talking about it on Facebook last weekend.
The question is ‘why?’ but probably should more be ‘why not?’
Walsall still has the capacity to surprise and delight…
June 19th – Returning via Longdon, I spotted this rooftop I’d never noticed before. It is, apparently, Windmill Cottage, but I know nothing else about it. This is a beautiful view and reminded me of the flatlands of Norfolk. I wonder if it ever was actually a windmill?
